“What’s up Sid?”He said between giggles “what do you need man?” “I need information; do you know where David Hastings lives?” “that guy? HAHAHA! What for?” “He’s my mark” “in that case he goes for a jog every morning at six-thirty, on this very street no less. Have fun hahahahahahahahaaa you want a toke?” “sure I got time to kill” they smoked weed until about five a clock “I gotta go, duty calls” “see ya man WOOHA!” “WOOHA!”
The morning was still and quiet, it was one of those times that made you forget you were still alive, but forgetting was a luxury he didn’t have right now. His senses were heightened as he searched for the jogger, ten minutes passed and after what seemed like an eternity he saw him in a blue tracksuit. He calmly walked up to the man “David?” he immediately stopped “yes?” a shot rang out, and little Davey hit the ground. Sid walked away leaving him there in a pool of blood.
He walked slowly across the narrows bridge, he saw the man waiting on the middle. “the deed is done” he said plainly “here is your payment” he handed him a suitcase filled to the brim with money. “Thank you sir, but I only did it because I was bored, the money was just a pleasant bi-product.” He took the suitcase and walked off. He returned home and sat on the couch.
Again, the room was pitch black except for the flickering light of the static. He was so lost in thought he hadn’t notice how long he’d been there, or the fact that he hadn’t paid the rent in three months. He hadn’t moved for all that time, a lesser man would be dead; a lesser man would think him dead. It was a room trapped in time, after an eternity the door burst open and a familiar figure ran in. it was George, his excitement seemed out of place in the motionless room.
“George? You shouldn’t have come back” George said “I’m sorry, but the cops came for me” Sid got up and grabbed George by the collar, ”no, you shouldn’t have come back!!!” he was furious and with a single movement he threw George out of the window, he proceeded to watch him fall all twenty-three stories down. “asshole.” He said as if George could still hear him in hell.
